As vast as Phuket is in size, choosing a good salon for a cut or a hair colour really is not easy.

Currently, an all-female troupe, Kate’s associates are all talented and very experienced with both blonde western hair and Asian tresses. Kate’s salon is friendly and relaxed. Pop in for a beautifying day and enjoy Nespresso or (or bubbles), get your nails done, and there’s even a magical elf on her team who can semi-permanently tattoo your eyebrows too! Located in the northern part of Phuket Kate prefers you to make a date with her and declares, “great hair happens by appointment.”

The salon’s products are guaranteed to be of a high quality and the results to match with an Aveda trained and international qualified hair artist. Found in the Blue Tree Phuket (waterpark/shopping destination) in the northern area of Phuket, this salon is an enclave for some serious pampering. The UV light here can be harsh, and no one wants brassy tones! Be sure to ask Mura about colour corrections and also the best low maintenance colours to aim for highlighted hair.

Khun Jeab is the lead stylist here and is particularly good at cutting and blow-drying. You can also stop by and restock up on Moroccan Oil hair products as well as L’Oréal’s ‘SeriesExpert’ range of hair care solutions.

Brunettes and those with Asian hair will get a great result as their experience is predominantly with these types of hair. Blondes can still have fun though and opt for a Kérastase treatment and trim.

A small place that packs a punch. Reasonably priced you can get a great cut and colour here. Patrick uses L’Oréal products, so expect a decent quality at a rate not comparable with the salons using Aveda or other top-of-the-range products.
